Found at the top of the North Downs escarpment, the village of Woldingham boasts a high proportion of large detached houses and is an area of highly prized and highly priced properties, due to its desirability and exclusivity.
With private education at Woldingham School and Caterham School nearby, together with a very popular commuter railway station at the foot of the hill, the heart of the village is The Crescent and its small selection of shops. Woldingham’s larger houses do not change hands very often, making it a highly sought-after place to buy your forever family home.
A fast train service has bolstered the popularity of this sought after village. The fastest direct train leaves Woldingham at 7.28 and arrives at London Victoria 37 minutes later at 8.05 am. There are also direct services to London Bridge with journeys taking just over 40 minutes.
Conveniently, the A22 Caterham Bypass passes just to the west of Woldingham Village and provides links to Croydon to the north (8 miles) and East Grinstead to the south (12.5 miles). The closest access to the M25 (junction 6) is at Godstone 4 miles away. The A25, which can be joined at Godstone, provides links to Redhill and Redhill to the west and Oxted and Sevenoaks to the east.
For bus uses getting to and from the village, the 540 service is a limited service and can be picked up from several points in the village and connects to the station and nearby Caterham. Change at Caterham for alternative services to Reigate, Redhill, Coulsdon, Godstone, Oxted and Croydon.
